Presetting device TSCHORN, Mechanically

For precise positioning of workpiece surfaces or tool lengths in the Z direction without damaging the workpiece. Hardened base unit and probe surface.

Use:
For NC machining centres, milling machines, turning lathes, boring mills, drilling machines, etc.

Application:
Bringing spring mounted probe surface and reference surface of the device to the same height (e.g. using a straightedge) and setting the dial indicator to -0.50. Set the device on the workpiece and run the milling tool out on the spring mounted probe surface until the dial indicator stands at 0. The milling tool is now positioned exactly 50 mm (± 0.01 mm) above the workpiece to be processed (dimension to be input in the machine control system).
