Bearing series 72
Angular contact ball bearings have raceways in the inner and outer rings that are offset from one another in the direction of the bearing axis. They are designed for bearing assemblies that must absorb combined loads, i.e. loads acting simultaneously radially and axially. Single-row angular contact bearings can absorb only axial loads acting in a single direction. Under radial loads, a force acting in the axial direction is produced in the bearing, and must be compensated by an opposite force. Bearings are consequently positioned against a second bearing.
Single-row angular contact bearing are available in two versions for different purposes:
- basic design bearings for bearing assemblies with single bearings (BEP)
- bearings for universal matching (BECBP)
