Mortar couplings are a lever arm coupling system - but are not compatible with the related Kamlok couplings. The connection is made according to a simple principle: male and female parts made of steel or malleable cast iron are locked by two cam levers. The only thing that needs to be taken into account is the two different measurement systems commonly used on the market (22 and 23.5 mm).
